Every week on the podcast we’ll share some of the local events that are taking place in the area. So many great people doing great things – be sure you get out to support them!

Here are this week’s events:

Teen Drop in Grades 7 to 12 at OYA on Main Street every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. See their website for details. Pre teen dances are back – next one is Nov 15th. Get tickets in advance from OYA.

Free Youth Drop In at G-YA Wednesdays. Open to youth in Greely grades 7 to 12 at Greely Community Centre, see their Facebook page for details.

YOMA Pre Teen Night and Youth Drop In on Fridays at the Community Centre. 6:30 for pre-teens and 7:30 for teens. This week is fancy tea night! They are also hosting a free pens and paints program beginning this week on Wednesdays. See their Facebook page and newsletter to join.

Nov 9 at 9 am – Vernon (at the museum)
Nov 9 at 1 pm – Kenmore (at the community center)
Nov 10 at 11 am – Metcalfe (at the cenotaph/public library)
Nov 11 at 11 am – Osgoode (Legion) Refreshments and Chili to follow ceremony at Osgoode Legion

Nov 8 Ladies Night Out Shopping in Kemptville from 6 to 9 pm. Grab your friends for a fabulous evening of shopping, snacks, drinks and exclusive discounts. Sponsored by Sugold Jewellers and Giftware.

Nov 6-9 Russell Association for the Performing Arts presents The Psychological Thriller BURN on Nov 6 to 9 at Russell High School. Tickets available online.

Nov 8 to 17 ITR Show Calendar Girls. You can also pick up a calendar girls calendar as part of a fund raiser for Bruyere Health. You can purchase your calendar at Manotick Office Pro in Manotick or at The Kitcheness in North Gower

Nov 9 Benefit Dance and Silent Auction for Connor McAllister 8 pm to midnight at the Joel Steele Community Center in Winchester. 12 year old Connor was recently diagnosed with a rare soft tissue cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door

Nov 18 Christmas Farmers Market by Metcalfe Farmers Market – location is at Greely 9 am to 2 pm

Nov 10 is the date for the Original Navan Market’s Holiday market from 10 till 3 at the Navan Fairgrounds.

Nov 10 Jack Frost Fair – Christmas Markets 12 pm 200 Sanders Street Kemptville

Nov 13 Seniors Community Services are taking orders now for their annual Wreath and Planter Fundraiser. Wreaths are $32 and Planters are $35. Place your orders before November 13th and pickup is a fun drive through event November 19th.
