Hi! I’m so glad you’re here!
I know that there are many of you who have never listened to a podcast before. Maybe you don’t even know what a podcast is.
I’ve got you! Here is all you need to know about what a podcast is, how to access it, how to help me get others to check it out, and how to send your feedback or questions.
What is a Podcast?
A podcast is like a radio show, but you can listen to it whenever you want. Every podcast is made up of episodes, like chapters in a book. You can find podcasts (like this one!) on just about any topic you are interested in.
Podcasts can be audio or video (Osgoode Community Chronicles is audio only).
There is usually a ‘drop’ schedule, which just means how often and when new episodes will be published. Osgoode Community Chronicles will be published weekly on Tuesday mornings.
That doesn’t mean you have to be online on Tuesday morning … you can listen in any time you like. You will just know that when Tuesday comes, you’ll have a new episode to enjoy.
How to Listen to a Podcast
Most people will listen to a podcast on their smartphone or on a tablet. The podcast companies have apps that make it easy to find and play podcasts. You can also listen on a computer through websites or streaming services. If you have a smart speaker like an Amazon Echo or a Google Home, you can ask it to play a podcast for you.
Osgoode Community Chronicles is available on all podcast services like Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Google, and more. And we also publish every episode here on this website. Every episode will have its own page and we’ll do our best to make it easy to search for topics you are looking for.
