Every week on the podcast we’ll share some of the local events that are taking place in the area. So many great people doing great things – be sure you get out to support them!

Here are this week’s events:

Every Monday there is euchre at the Osgoode Legion, starting at 6:30 pm – come on out, singles, doubles, everyone is welcome. Darts on Tuesday and Bingo on Thursday too.

Greely Legion hosting their monthly euchre tournament starting at noon. It’s on the second Saturday of every month and the next one is Dec 14. Next ones are Jan 11 Feb 8 Mar 8, Apr 12, May 10

Manotick Legion is hosting History on Film Night on December 11. It’s a free screening of the film Tunes of Glory starring Alec Guinness and John Mills

Don’t miss Christmas on the Farm at Stanleys Old Maple Farm – every weekend  (Thursday to Sunday) you can step into the magic of Stanleys’ Christmas Village where Santa’s elves prepare for the holiday season. You can take a holiday stroll for a date night or with friends, or pick out your perfect Christmas tree. Check out their website for details and to buy your passes.

Dec 14 Old Town Christmas on Prescott Street in Kemptville from 10 am to 1 pm… A North Pole Adventure Awaits!

Dec 14 Christmas Bake Sale at the Winchester Legion 9 am, open to all

December 14 from 9 am to 4 pm at Robert Plante Greenhouses in Navan is their 2nd annual Pet Day and Holiday Market, and it’s all about celebrating your furry friends.

Dec 14 and 15 Embrun Christmas Market at the community Centre hall. Shop local businesses and support the Embrun food bank

Dec 15 SwiftMAS Ottawa at Strathmere 11 to 3. Tickets are free for the general public or you can choose a VIP ticket for $20 that includes first dibs shopping, a festive beverage, and entry into the $500 prize draw.

Dec 17 Seniors Bus Trip to Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Park. It’s a drive through holiday lights display  at 4:30 pm. $10 or by donation.

Manotick Legion Karol Bilyj Festive Dinner Sun Dec 22 11:30 am to 3 pm – free turkey dinner with all the trimmings. RSVP by Dec 17th

Youth Associations:

Teen Drop in Grades 7 to 12 at OYA on Main Street every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. See their website for details.

Free Youth Drop In at G-YA Wednesdays. Open to youth in Greely grades 7 to 12 at Greely Community Centre, see their Facebook page for details.

YOMA Pre Teen Night and Youth Drop In on Fridays at the Community Centre. 6:30 for pre-teens and 7:30 for teens.
